Author Guidelines

Important Information for Authors

Before submitting a manuscript, authors are kindly requested to familiarise themselves with the journal’s editorial policies and submission requirements. Compliance with the rules outlined below is a mandatory condition for a manuscript to be considered.

1. Types of Submissions

The Editorial Board of “Cybersecurity: Education, Science, Technique” does not accept review articles whose primary content is limited to summarising, systematising, or restating previously published research.

The journal accepts original research articles that include:

• a clearly defined research problem and objective;

• a well-substantiated statement of scientific novelty;

• a description of the research methods and methodology employed;

• the authors’ own theoretical or experimental results;

• a quantitative or qualitative evaluation of the results obtained;

• well-supported conclusions and clearly identified practical value.

All articles must include an analysis of recent research and publications. However, this analysis should establish the relevance of the study and provide the basis for the authors’ approach to addressing the research problem rather than constitute the principal result of the paper.

2. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online submission system (OJS).

During the submission process, authors must:

• upload a manuscript prepared in accordance with the journal’s current template;

• complete all required fields;

• provide the article metadata in both Ukrainian and English;

• enter complete information for all authors.

Manuscripts submitted by email to the journal, the Editor-in-Chief, or any member of the Editorial Board will not be registered or considered.

3. Author Information

Each author must be entered separately in OJS using the “Add Contributor” button.

The following information must be provided for every author in both Ukrainian and English:

• first name and last name;

• full name of the institution — place of employment or study;

• country;

• email address;

• valid ORCID iD.

The submitting author is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided, the order in which the authors are listed, and obtaining the consent of all co-authors to the submission and publication of the article.

4. Completing the Metadata

The metadata entered in OJS must fully correspond to the information provided in the manuscript file.

Particular attention should be paid to the accuracy of the following information:

• article title;

• abstract;

• keywords;

• names and order of the authors;

• authors’ affiliations;

• reference list.

Incomplete or inaccurate metadata constitutes grounds for rejecting the manuscript during the initial editorial screening.

5. Originality and Academic Integrity

The submitted manuscript must be an original research paper that:

• has not previously been published, either in whole or in part, in another publication;

• is not simultaneously under consideration by another journal;

• does not contain unattributed textual borrowing, self-plagiarism, or fabricated results;

• appropriately cites all sources used;

• does not infringe the copyright of any third party.

All manuscripts are screened for compliance with the principles of academic integrity and for improper text reuse.

6. Use of Artificial Intelligence Technologies

If generative artificial intelligence tools were used during the preparation of the article to create or edit text, software code, or illustrations, or to process or analyse data, the authors must transparently disclose the name of the tool and explain how it was used.

Artificial intelligence systems may not be listed as authors or co-authors of a publication. The authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and scientific validity of all submitted materials.

7. Communication with the Editorial Office

Subsequent correspondence regarding the manuscript’s status, peer-review results, and required revisions will be conducted through OJS or via the contact email address provided by the author during submission.

The corresponding author should regularly check notifications in OJS and their email inbox, including the spam or junk folder.

8. Initial Editorial Screening

Before being sent for peer review, every manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess:

• its relevance to the journal’s aims, scope, and academic profile;

• the presence of original research findings;

• compliance with the journal’s template and formatting requirements;

• the completeness and accuracy of the metadata;

• the correct entry of information for all authors;

• compliance with the principles of academic integrity.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements, contain incomplete metadata, or do not present original research findings will not be sent for peer review and will be rejected during the initial editorial screening.

Before completing the submission process, authors are kindly requested to verify the formatting of the manuscript and the completeness and accuracy of the metadata and information provided for all authors.
