Abstract

The article analyzes modern artificial intelligence technologies for preserving digital memory of current military events. Transcription of audio and video materials is considered as a method of preserving the testimonies of eyewitnesses and victims for the creation of memorial museums. A detailed review of modern tools for textualization was conducted. The study compares three modern solutions: Google Speech-To-Text, Vibe, and Evernote. The analysis was based on the following main criteria: price, transcription quality, and ease of use. Google Speech-To-Text is a cloud-based solution and does not require installation.This tool is suitable for research of various scales. It may require significant financial investments when processing large amounts of information. There is also the issue of the security of the processed data, as it is transferred to a third-party service. Vibe, on the other hand, is a free, open-source offline tool. It uses a local language model for transcription. Its advantages are accessibility and ease of use. Its disadvantages may be unstable performance and dependence on the computing power of the device. The last tool analyzed was Evernote. It is a note board that allows you to perform transcription. The advantage is the centralized formation of digital exhibits for further work. The free plan covers all basic needs, but there is a question of privacy due to the distribution of data with a third-party service. A real-life example of using artificial intelligence to transcribe a museum archive was considered. During the study, Evernote was tested and reviewed. It was determined that this tool is optimal and fully suitable for creating a digital memory of the events of the war.
