This article describes ways to automate processes for higher education institutions that improve the effectiveness of interaction between both students and faculty in tracking current tasks and priorities through the development and implementation of subsystems based on the SharePoint Framework. It reviews scholarly works aimed at examining the current situation in the field of education, the existing challenges and benefits offered by the spread of digitalization across various fields, as well as modern approaches to developing solutions that minimize the costs of building the appropriate architecture and ensure the smoothest possible implementation of the necessary solutions for the administration, faculty, and students alike. The possibilities for expanding the functionality of applications from the Microsoft 365 ecosystem are explored with the aim of organizing effective work within this platform and meeting the needs of those involved in the educational process. This paper describes the modern technologies and programming languages used to create such applications, their features, and their role in developing applications using the SharePoint Framework, and examines the specifics of data storage used in such systems. Given the shortcomings of traditional monolithic architectures, which can lead to data duplication, it is advisable to implement the solution based on the Data-as-a-Service model and the single source of truth paradigm. Models have been developed that describe interconnected components in the form of micro-frontends, which automate the processes of monitoring the tasks faced by academic and teaching staff, synthesize fragmented information regarding course content for students – thereby enabling them to make informed choices about elective courses – and provide students with the ability to effectively track their own progress in the learning process and successfully achieve their goals in acquiring the necessary professional skills.
